Bio

I was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. My voice is described as resonant, mellow and trustworthy. From a vocal standpoint, I have been most often compared to Morgan Freeman.

I earned my B.A. in economics and my M.B.A. in finance, both from Columbia University. The first 25 years of my professional life were in the corporate sector, culminating as a vice president and corporate officer at a major insurance company headquartered in Los Angeles. Since 2001, I have been a management consultant working with small businesses, developing growth strategies, providing advisory services and serving as an executive coach. I have engaged in public speaking since junior high school, was the talent for internal commercials for various employers and have been a guest on numerous television and radio programs. I was the host of and provided commentary for television programs in Cleveland, Ohio, and in Maryland. In 2009, I was honored by the United States Small Business Administration as the Small Business Journalist of the Year for the state of Maryland for my work in broadcast and print media.

My greatest influence was my father. He kept education at the forefront of my life, supported my athletic endeavors and encouraged me to live beyond what seems possible. I enjoy sports, reading and am a fan of jazz, classical music, and rhythm and blues from the ‘60’s and ‘70’s. I currently reside in Scottsdale, Arizona, having grown weary of the cold and snow of the Midwest and Northeast. I have two sons and three grandsons.
